Patients often face long wait times, inconvenient clinic visits, and limited access to immediate medical advice—especially outside standard working hours. Traditional healthcare systems struggle with appointment backlogs, while existing telehealth solutions can feel impersonal or lack integration with users’ medical histories. This creates frustration and delayed care.
As the product designer for this healthcare application, I drove the end-to-end design process with a focus on accessibility and rapid response. Beginning with targeted users, I identified critical personas and mapped risky usage scenarios to establish core requirements. This informed the development of an intuitive interface optimized for all users and contexts..
The kickoff session focused on gaining a clear understanding of the project goals and establishing a shared vision. Users required consistent visual professionalism (icons, typography), predictable behaviors (no hidden actions), and visible security indicators (end-to-end encryption badges) to fully adopt the service—impacting both initial sign-ups and long-term retention.
